"Preparing Todays Minority Students For Tommorrow Professional Schools" The mission of this organization is to provide underepresented pre-health students with knowledge, skills, and experiences that are both perquisite and concomitant to professional participation in health fields. Additionally, VSU Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Society will promote more minority interest in attending professional schools through establising unity among pre-medical and pre-dental students

The Virginia State University Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Society is Virginia State University’s first and only organization focused on the needs and concerns of pre- professional student of color. This organization was created to provide underrepresented pre-health students with knowledge, skills, and experiences that are both perquisite and concomitant to professional participation in health fields. Additionally, it was created to promote more minority interest in attending professional schools through establishing unity among pre-medical and pre-dental students. The Organization is geared towards meeting the health needs of the community, educating people about important health matters, and assuring its students the opportunity to advance in the health care field. Founded in the spring of 2004 by Latrice Coleman and Dennis Harding on the campus of Virginia State University, its faculty advisors are Dr. Regina Knight-Mason and Dr. Ross Johnson. The Pre-Medical and Pre-Dental Society is affiliated with The Student National Medical Association, The Student National Dental Association, and The Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students.
